    Polarized illumination allows users to prevent glare and observe polarization properties. Depending on what lens is used, users are able to polarize bright-field, dark-field, and transmitted illumination.

    Differential Interference Contrast (DIC) allows users to observe small height differences in the surface of their samples.The VHX has two lenses that are capable of DIC, giving users a wider range of magnification to choose from.

    Real-time 2D/3D measurements can be performed with the advanced measurement capabilities of the VHX. Any user can easily perform accurate measurements, regardless of experience. All measurements can be taken directly on screen, saved with the image, and an automatic report can be generated with all the image and measurement data.
